Our Story

Born in the Dust of the Community

The Yusful Advocacy Movement was born in the dust of the community, in the frustrations of people who have watched leaders rise on their shoulders only to forget the ground that carried them.

YAM was created to change that. To build a movement where the people — not party elites, not godfathers — decide who leads and who serves. Based in Ibadan and spreading across all 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State, YAM is the organised voice of the grassroots.

Our name says it all. Yusful — because we exist to be of genuine value to the people. Advocacy — because we speak up, stand firm, and champion the right leaders. Movement — because this is not a club. It is a living, growing force.

And YAM — because like the yam buried in Yoruba earth that feeds an entire community, we grow from the soil of the people.

"Power does not descend from above; it rises from below. It belongs to the community, the neighbourhood, the local government. It belongs at the grassroots. We are the Yusful Advocacy Movement, and we are here to take it back."
