Our Movement
The structure, the reach, and the pledge that binds us
Oyo State Coverage
33 LGAs. One Organised Force.
From the urban density of Ibadan to the agricultural plains of Saki and Ogbomoso, from the ancient streets of Oyo to the hills of Ibarapa — YAM is organising in every Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Local government is where political power is built or broken. National movements that ignore the LGA fail. National movements that own the LGA win. YAM exists to win the LGA — not for politicians, but for the people who live there.
Our plan is straightforward: an organised, accountable YAM presence in all 33 LGAs, supported by ward-level cells that know their neighbours by name.
Biannual Events
Where the Movement Aligns
Mid-Year Assembly
A working gathering: LGA Desks report progress, ward cells share field intelligence, and the movement realigns its strategy for the second half of the year. Format: panels, breakouts by LGA, and an open floor for member voices.
End-of-Year Convention
Our flagship event: celebrating wins, honouring members, electing internal leadership where due, and unveiling the agenda for the year ahead. Open to all members in good standing across all 33 LGAs.
Organisational Structure
How YAM Is Built
National Coordinating Council (NCC)
Supreme governing body — vision, strategy, and unity.
State Chapter Committee
Coordinates the movement's activities across Oyo State.
LGA Desks
One desk per Local Government Area — 33 desks anchoring the movement.
Ward Cells
The movement at its most local level — where the grassroots lives.
The YAM Member Pledge
"I pledge to carry the values of the Yusful Advocacy Movement with honesty and courage. I will champion leaders who are rooted in the grassroots and hold power accountable to the people. I will never forget the community and the soil from which true leadership grows. Power belongs at the grassroots, and I am the grassroots."
